The Troubleshooting and Maintaining PC course introduces you to the domain of
computer hardware and operating systems. It explains the functionality of various
hardware components and provides hands-on practice for assembling and configuring a
computer. It describes how to install operating systems and troubleshoot hardware- and
software-related problems. In addition, it discusses the technological advancement in PC
hardware such as virtualization and vPro that are being implemented in enterprises across
the world. It also introduces the basic concepts of managing network connections and
implementing PC security measures.
The PC support industry has witnessed a rapid development lately. It is expected to grow
in leaps and bounds in the coming years. This will result in a large number of job
openings in a variety of technical profiles such as Technical Support Executive, PC
Technician, Helpdesk Analyst, and so on. However, it is likely that there would be
scarcity of proficient and skilled IT technicians. Therefore, a hardware and networking
course has been initiated in order to bridge the underlying gap.
To manage computers efficiently and effectively, it is critical to understand how the
various hardware and software components of a computer work. This course provides an
